To that end, the Marketing Academy in Vodafone was seeking a relevant, in-depth and effective professional education course to sharpen the digital skills of their workforce.
Challenge
Mohsin Ghafoor, Head of Global and Commercial Learning and Development, aimed to raise standards in digital marketing across the entire group. The goal was for every marketer to reach a high standard of skills and knowledge applicable to their daily roles.

Solution
We recognized that Vodafone needed to set the pace of the industry. The strategy focused on providing current knowledge to help staff anticipate customer needs:
- Phase 1 Content Selection: Carefully picked 15 modules most relevant to Vodafone’s staff, including Professional and Specialist Diplomas.
- Phase 2 Global Certification: Applied a global certification standard to ensure quality of content across all markets.
- Phase 3 LMS Integration: Integrated core modules into Vodafone's existing e-learning system to leverage their established online learning culture.
- Phase 4 Global Licensing: Agreed upon a global user license to give widespread access to the Digital Marketing Institute modules.
Results
The collaboration resulted in a highly effective training environment for Vodafone's global team:
- Global Workforce Training: Video-based content is now used by Vodafone Marketing Academy staff worldwide, allowing them to train together regardless of location.
- Successful Launch: Internal campaigns using e-flyers and newsletters generated high awareness and enthusiasm for the courses.
